Job Description/Requirements
Job Purpose:
The Chief Project Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and
successful delivery of all major projects across the organization. This role ensures
projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards,
while aligning with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership:
Provide leadership and oversight for all company projects, ensuring strategic
alignment and operational excellence.
- Planning & Execution:
Develop comprehensive project plans including timelines, budgets, risk
assessments, resource allocation, and quality controls.
- Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and manage project teams, ensuring proper roles, responsibilities,
and professional development.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as the primary liaison between executive management, clients, consultants,
and contractors to maintain transparency and resolve issues.
- Budget & Cost Control:
Monitor project budgets, approve expenditures, and identify cost-saving
opportunities without compromising quality.
- Risk Management:
Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure
project continuity.
- Reporting & Documentation:
Provide regular status updates, dashboards, and post-project evaluation reports
to senior leadership.
- Compliance & Standards:
Ensure all projects meet legal, environmental, safety, and organizational
standards and policies.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies
- Budgeting, scheduling, and cost control expertise
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Asana)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or
related field
- Master’s degree or MBA is an advantage
- PMP or equivalent certification required
- 15+ years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 3 years
in a senior leadership role
