About the role
This role will provide strategic analytical support across the organization, enabling data-driven decision-making and improved business performance. Key responsibilities will include conducting market and operational research, analysing data to identify growth opportunities, supporting demand forecasting, and contributing to effective supply and resource planning. The Business Analyst will also play a critical role in monitoring business pipelines and ensuring that key processes are completed efficiently and successfully
Primary duties, responsibilities and accountabilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze organizational and market data to identify trends and patterns.
- Develop dashboards and reports to support leadership in decision-making.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
- Track departmental workflows to ensure adherence to timelines and deliverables.
- Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to improve efficiency.
- Document and review process improvements to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Assist in identifying risks related to operations, finance, and projects.
- Monitor compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
- Document risks and escalate issues with recommended mitigation strategies.
- Maintain records of reports, analyses, and business decisions for future reference.
- Ensure proper archiving of project learnings and performance data.
- Share key insights and knowledge across teams to support organizational learning.
- Monitor budgets, payments, and expenditures against approved plans.
- Prepare and circulate financial performance reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Highlight variances and provide recommendations for corrective action.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather inputs for reports and updates.
- Prepare presentations, briefs, and dashboards for management and partners.
- Provide timely responses to stakeholder information requests.
Qualifications and educational requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree (MBA, MSc) in Business Analytics, Economics, or related discipline is an added advantage.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), PMI-PBA, Lean Six Sigma, or Data Analytics certifications (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Excel, Python, Tableau) are desirable.
Required skills
- Proven experience (3–5 years minimum) as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a similar analytical/strategic role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret complex data.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and data visualization software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience in developing reports, forecasts, and dashboards for decision-making.
- Solid understanding of financial tracking, budgeting, and business process evaluation.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
