Job Summary
The Bridge and Concrete Structures Engineer will lead and oversee the design, construction, and supervision of multi-span bridge projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, hands-on project delivery experience, and proven leadership in managing large-scale civil engineering works.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the execution of bridge and concrete structure projects from start to completion.
- Supervise and monitor site activities to ensure adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Provide technical solutions and resolve engineering issues during design and construction phases.
- Review and approve structural designs, shop drawings, and construction methodologies.
- Conduct structural analysis and ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, progress reports, and compliance records.
- Ensure timely completion of projects within budget and schedule.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years professional experience in bridge and concrete structures engineering.
- Proven track record of supervising and successfully completing at least 3 multi-span bridge projects.
- Strong expertise in design, construction, and supervision of reinforced and pre-stressed concrete bridge structures.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., STAAD Pro, MIDAS Civil, SAP2000, etc.).
- Thorough knowledge of engineering codes, standards, and modern construction methods.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- COREN or equivalent professional registration is highly desirable.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₦420,000.00 - ₦600,000.00 per month
