Position Title: Associate, PPP & Financial Advisory
Location: FCT Abuja, Nigeria
Reporting To: Managing Director and Team Lead, Hedgeview Advisory
Compensation: ₦9m – ₦12m per annum (depending on experience and qualification)
We are seeking a motivated Associate with relevant professional experience in investment banking and & consulting to join our team. The Associate will support the delivery of PPP advisory and project finance mandates. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of finance, policy, and development, while building technical expertise in advisory.

Role Overview.
The Associate will support Hedgeview’s senior advisors in the structuring, financial analysis, and execution of PPP and project finance engagements. The role requires strong analytical ability, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to coordinate multi-stakeholder processes.
Key Responsibilities.
Transaction Origination, Structuring and Execution
- Prepare Outline Business Case (OBC) and Full Business Case (FBC) in line with national and international PPP guidelines.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models for PPP and project finance transactions, including sensitivity and scenario analysis, risk assessment, feasibility studies, value-for-money analyses and valuation.
- Support the structuring of deals in line with international best practices and local regulatory frameworks.
- Assist in preparing term sheets, credit applications, financial plans for bid submission, project agreements, and financial close documentation.
- Review and provide comments on relevant commercial and financing agreements, including concession agreements, loan agreements, and shareholder agreements.
- Coordinate due diligence processes across legal, technical, and financial workstreams. Provide essential support to the deal team leader(s) in the origination of both PPP/Project Finance advisory and financing mandates.
Advisory and Client Engagement
- Provide strategic advisory to public and private sector clients on PPP frameworks, procurement strategies, and financing options.
- Participate in stakeholder consultations, workshops, and project steering committees.
- Draft and present investment memoranda, pitch decks, Requests for Proposals (RfPs), and transaction reports to clients and partners. Assist in capacity building, developing training materials and workshop content, and providing day-to-day support to clients’ staff in using financial tools and templates.
Market and Policy Analysis
- Conduct sector-specific research and market assessments for infrastructure projects (transport, energy, healthcare, etc.).
- Analyse government policies, PPP regulations, and funding programs relevant to project development. Monitor trends in infrastructure finance, multilateral support, and blended finance instruments.
Stakeholders Coordination
- Liaise with government agencies, multilateral development banks (e.g., World Bank, AfDB), and private investors.
- Facilitate communication between project sponsors, lenders, advisors, and regulatory bodies. Support the negotiation of project terms and stakeholder alignment.
Project Monitoring & Reporting
- Track project milestones and ensure compliance with financial and contractual obligations.
- Prepare periodic reports on project performance, risks, and financial metrics. Support post-financial close activities, including disbursement tracking and impact evaluation.
Qualifications & Skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5–7 years of professional experience in financial advisory, consulting, investment banking, project finance, or PPPs
- Appropriate financial certification, such as ACA, ACCA, CFA (candidates who have already passed the Level 1 Exam), etc., is desirable
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with demonstrated proficiency in Excel-based financial modelling, an intimate understanding of accounting concepts, financial statements, cash flows and valuation
- Solid knowledge of PPP frameworks, procurement processes, and project finance principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex financial concepts clearly Self-starter with a proactive mindset and ability to work independently while embedded in the client’s office
