The Admin/Account Officer will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day administration, accurate financial management, and compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements. This role combines general office administration with accounting duties, making it critical for the sustainability and growth of the organization.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Administration
- Manage office operations including filing systems, supplies, equipment, and logistics
- Handle correspondence, scheduling, and documentation for internal and external meetings.
- Support HR functions including staff attendance, leave records, and onboarding new staff.
- Maintain updated organizational records and databases. Support procurement processes by maintaining vendor lists, requesting quotations, and preparing purchase documentation.
Finance & Accounts
- Record daily financial transactions (income, expenses, grants, donations, petty cash).
- Prepare monthly financial reports, bank reconciliations, and cash flow projections.
- Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and variance reporting.
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations (taxes, pension, and regulatory filings).
- Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions in line with donor and audit requirements.
- Support grants financial reporting and ensure expenditure aligns with donor budgets.
- Maintain internal controls at organizational acceptable level Manage and minimize risks affecting the organization’s assets.
Requirements:
- HND or B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 1–2 years’ experience in an administrative and/or accounting role (NGO experience is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles, bookkeeping, and reporting.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of accounting software is an advantage.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and tasks.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Integrity, confidentiality, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
