We’re looking for a detail-oriented, reliable, and strategic Accountant to join our team. This person will ensure our financial operations are accurate, transparent, and compliant, while providing leadership with the data they need to make informed decisions. What You’ll Do:
Financial Record-Keeping & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, payroll, and vendor payments
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Reconcile bank statements and all financial ledgers
Budgeting & Expense Control
- Collaborate with leadership on budgets and cost control strategies
- Monitor departmental spending against budgeted allocations
- Advise on financial performance trends and risks
Compliance & Audit Preparation
- Ensure compliance with federal and state financial regulations
- Prepare documentation and reports for auditors or regulatory reviews
- Track and manage taxes, PAYE, and statutory deductions (e.g., pensions, VAT)
Process Optimization
- Recommend improvements to financial systems and processes
- Set up clear, transparent accounting processes for new departments
- Support inventory and procurement in maintaining financial accountability
Who We’re Looking For:
- 2–4 years of experience in accounting or financial management
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent certification is an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books, QuickBooks)
- Proficiency in Excel and financial data tools
- Accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- Must reside in Abuja
- Hospitality experience is a plus
