Job Summary

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant with 2–3 years of professional experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting internal controls, and contributing to compliance with relevant financial regulations. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate journal entries, ledgers, and general accounting transactions in compliance with IFRS or GAAP.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, including invoicing, vendor reconciliation, collections, and payment processing.
• Oversee payroll accounting, ensuring timely salary processing, tax deductions, and payroll reconciliations.
• Assist in the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic planning and cost management.
• Perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
• Monitor and enforce internal financial controls to maintain compliance and minimize risk.
• Support the preparation and submission of tax filings, VAT returns, WHT, and other statutory obligations in accordance with local laws.
• Liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and tax authorities during audits, inspections, and financial reviews.
• Maintain and organize financial documentation and records for audit readiness and internal reference.
Stay current with regulatory changes, accounting standards, and best practices relevant to the organization’s financial operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a corporate, audit, or professional services environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, Sage, or similar platforms.
• Sound knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS or GAAP) and local tax laws and statutory reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and basic financial modeling).
Professional certification or ongoing certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) is a strong plus.
