Job Title: Accountant

Job Summary
The Accounts Officer will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring the hotel’s financial transactions are properly recorded. The role involves maintaining accurate accounting systems, monitoring expenses, reconciling accounts, and supporting the hotel’s overall financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Record and reconcile daily hotel revenues, expenses, and bank transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor and guest accounts.
- Process payroll and ensure statutory deductions are remitted on time.
- Monitor cash flow and support budget preparation.
- Maintain up-to-date records of invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in internal and external audits. Provide financial insights to management for effective decision-making.

Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, CIPFA, etc.) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of accounting experience (hospitality industry preferred).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or hotel PMS).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
