Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support our finance team in handling day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will assist with bookkeeping, reconciliations, invoicing, and financial reporting to ensure smooth financial management within our logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
- Support preparation of invoices and follow up on client payments.
- Post journal entries and update ledgers.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and report discrepancies.
- Help in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Track company expenses and support cost monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with basic accounting standards and company policies.
- Provide support to the finance manager and other senior accountants.
- Liaise with the logistics/operations team to confirm financial accuracy in transactions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- OND/HND/Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 0–2 years of relevant work experience (internship/NYSC experience acceptable).
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and work as part of a team.
