Purpose of the Job
Manage coatings & construction specialties market segments (Paint & Coating/Building) in Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroun. Grow business as per business strategy in next 3 years and explore new neighboring countries and grow in Paints & coatings, construction segments.
About the job (Job Responsibilities)
- Perform business development activities within the defined territory in addition to sales activities agreed and defined by line management and product management.
- Deliver sales results/targets according to budget and provide service to customers (direct customers and distributors).
- Collaborate effectively within a matrix organization, maintaining an efficient CRM system to track customers and contacts.
- Assist in creating a sales budget for the assigned region in collaboration with the line manager.
- Discuss price lists and policies with the MEA team lead to create quotations and negotiate with customers.
- Coordinate with existing customers for sales activities and develop market intelligence and knowledge for new customer contacts.
- Facilitate and coordinate contacts between R&D, application resources within the business line, and our customers.
- Maximize the value for our customers within given margin restrictions and consequently maximize the revenue stream from the territory.
- Travel regularly to customer sites, with a willingness to travel at least 60% of the time.
- Represent Nouryon to customers in the field, understand their needs, and coordinate internally to fulfill them. Manage and develop distributors under Nouryon rules to provide high-quality products and services to end-customers, ensuring healthy market competition.
We believe you bring (Education & Experience)
- Minimum B. Tech. in Chemical/Polymer Technology/Engineering, B.Sc., M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry, or B. Engineering.
- Post-graduation in Sales and Marketing Management. is an advantage.
- Medium knowledge and experience (>5 years) in all aspects of paints, coatings, construction chemicals, etc., with hands-on experience in these applications preferred.
- Ability to foster and build business relationships with potential and existing customers, distributors, and all appropriate business channels.
- Coordinate internal interfaces between Customer Service, Technical Service, and the regional/global Sales and Marketing Team.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts, leveraging internal and external relationships at these accounts. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
