Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our pharmacy team. As a healthcare assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the pharmacy staff in providing exceptional care and service to our customers. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about healthcare, customer service, and making a positive impact in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with queries and product recommendations.
- Offer advice on over-the-counter medications and general healthcare products under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Manage stock levels, including replenishing shelves and conducting regular inventory checks.
- Handle prescription processing and support with administrative tasks, including data entry and maintaining patient records.
- Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Support health promotion initiatives and campaigns within the pharmacy.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is an advantage but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Basic IT skills and familiarity with pharmacy systems (training can be provided).
- Compassionate, approachable, and customer-focused demeanor.
- Knowledge of pharmacy and medical terminology is desirable.
