Responsibilities:

• Prepare schemes of work for the term, using the WAEC, NECO examination, and teaching syllabuses.
• Prepare notes of lessons and diaries and submit to the HOD through the Unit (lead for marking on a Friday before the week's lesson is to be taught.
• Teach the various concepts effectively using modern and most effective teaching methods and instructional materials according to the timetable specifications and evaluate the effectiveness of each lesson.
• Complete the syllabus for each year.
• Design special programmes for exceptional students.e.g, projects, tutorials, or remedial work as appropriate and report on development or progress of such students.
• Check students’ notes regularly, make appropriate comments, date, and sign.
• Continually assess performance. Keep up to date records of continuous assessment and submit to the guidance counsellor or the examination committee by the approved date.
• Maintain a subject attendance register and personally sight each student.
• Sign the class attendance register kept by the class captain.
• Organise field trips/excursions with the students and check the written report of each student.
• Ensure students participate in competitions in subject areas outside the school.
• Be responsible for the class throughout the time assigned for each lesson.
• Make sure the classroom is neat and well-arranged before teaching.
• Take active part in co-curricular activities
• Conduct Guided Revision Strategy (GRS) classes right from the beginning of the session, if they teach Basic 7 and SSS3.
Perform any other duty as requested by the Management.

Requirements:

• At least 5years of experience
• BSc. Degree in a relevant course of study
