the Storekeeper will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing food supplies, ingredients, and kitchen equipment. This role ensures the kitchen always has the right stock, in the right condition, at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and check incoming deliveries against purchase orders and invoices
Ensure all food items are stored according to food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP compliance)
Organise and label stock for easy access and rotation (FIFO method)
Monitor stock levels and report shortages or excess to management
Keep storage areas clean, organised, and secure
Assist with stock counts and inventory audits
Coordinate with chefs and kitchen staff to issue ingredients and equipment as needed
Maintain accurate records of stock movements
