Job Summary
The Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients across various departments for our hospital. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and high-quality nursing care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Main Duties
· Perform initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients' conditions.
· Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as per physician orders.
· Monitor vital signs and laboratory results related to renal function.
· Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients.
· Coordinate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care.
· Provide education on health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.
· Assist patients in understanding their treatment plans and medications.
· Develop educational materials for patients on various health topics
· Prepare patients for dialysis sessions, ensuring comfort and safety.
· Monitor patients during dialysis for any adverse reactions or complications.
· Maintain detailed records of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
· Ensure compliance with documentation standards set by healthcare regulations.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; certification in nephrology nursing preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of nursing experience; experience in nephrology or dialysis preferred.
Licensure: Current RN license.
Skills: Strong assessment skills, excellent communication abilities, proficiency in electronic health records (EHR).
