Job Summary

This is a remote position.

We are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect with deep expertise in API design , systems integration , and solution blueprints to help scale the architecture of our fintech platform. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of products like multi-currency wallets, cross-border payment rails, and dynamic virtual accounts.

This is not a DevOps or generic engineering role. We're seeking someone who can think holistically , document clearly , and design secure, modular, and scalable systems that align tightly with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & System Design

• Translate business problems into secure, scalable, and reusable architecture.
• Lead the design of solution architectures including API flows, integration workflows, and system interactions .
• Define and maintain technical architecture documents (HLDs/LLDs), sequence diagrams, and interface specs.

API & Integration Ownership

• Design and document RESTful APIs , versioning strategy, auth protocols (OAuth2/JWT), and error handling patterns.
• Lead integration with external providers for services like KYC, crypto liquidity, disbursements, etc.
• Ensure consistency and governance across all internal and external API interfaces.

Technical Leadership

• Provide architectural guidance to engineering teams across multiple products.
• Review code, designs, and PRDs with a lens on architecture alignment.
• Engage in technical discovery and integration planning with external partners and clients.

Documentation & Communication

• Create and maintain a central repository of architecture diagrams and decisions.
• Clearly articulate trade-offs and constraints to product managers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Champion architectural best practices across the engineering and product teams.

What We’re Looking For

Required Experience

• 2–3+ years in a dedicated Solutions Architect role — not just as a developer with design exposure.
• 2–3+ years in fintech or payments , with an understanding of compliance, ledgers, and transaction flows.
• Deep hands-on experience with Java/Spring Boot for backend architecture.
• Strong cloud architecture experience (preferably AWS: ECS, API Gateway, Lambda, IAM, VPC).
• Track record of defining and delivering API-based integrations and service designs.
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical discussions across cross-functional teams.
• Exposure to startup environments with product-market fit and fast iterations.

Nice to Have

• AWS Certification (e.g. Solutions Architect Associate or Pro).
• Familiarity with blockchain integrations, stable coin payments , or off-ramp providers .
• Knowledge of international payment corridors , FX platforms, or virtual account systems.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CDK) and event-driven systems (Kafka/SQS).
