Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Solar Engineer to join our team at Koolboks . The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of solar projects, from initial site assessment to system design, project execution, and after-sales service. This role requires technical expertise, hands-on experience in solar energy systems, and the ability to liaise with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct site visits and feasibility assessments to evaluate the suitability for solar PV installations (rooftop & ground-mounted).
• Understand client/customer requirements at the operational level and offer optimal technical solutions.
• Design complete solar PV systems, including layouts, electrical schematics, technical sizing, BOM/BOQ preparation, and selection of components.
• Provide technically and commercially viable solutions for solar energy systems.
• Handle drawing/document submissions and obtain necessary approvals.
• Schedule and coordinate activities such as factory inspections, testing, and commissioning.
• Prepare and implement standard checklists for quality assurance and compliance.
• Execute solar power projects end-to-end, including AMC/service support.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Indian Standards (IS) and other relevant codes and regulations.
• Utilize design and simulation software such as PVsyst for system performance modeling.
• Conduct all required system tests (IV curve, insulation resistance, performance ratio, etc.) during installation and commissioning.
• Maintain accurate project files, including pricing, vendor catalogs, and quotations for estimation and procurement purposes.
• Provide periodic (weekly/fortnightly) status updates and reports to project stakeholders.
• Develop and manage Management Information Systems (MIS) for project tracking and market analysis.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support Koolboks' growth and development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Renewable Energy, or a related engineering field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in solar project execution (Rooftop and Ground Mounted).
• Proficiency in PVsyst, AutoCAD, MS Office, and other solar design tools.
• Strong understanding of IS standards and solar industry specifications.
• Hands-on experience in conducting solar system testing and commissioning.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and project coordination skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
