Our Client is a construction company based in Lagos, Nigeria, looking to hire a Senior Site Engineer who will be responsible for working on Grade A construction projects from start to finish.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering, building technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in building construction working as a senior site engineer.
- Experience in starting and finishing at least five (5) Grade A projects between 600Million-1Billion.
- In-depth knowledge of engineering, technology, building, construction, and design.
- Familiarity with developing a Site Safety Plan.
- Proficient in the use of computer software like Microsoft project.
- Proven track record of managing personnel and material resources.
- Exemplary critical thinking, analytical, and complex problem-solving skills.
- Excellent client relations skills.
- Strong time management and project management skills.
- Dedication to learning concepts and strategies. Willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities The Site Engineer will:
- Oversee building work and manage multiple construction sites.
- Undertake surveys and levels.
- Set out sites and organize facilities.
- Check technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly.
- Prepare an execution plan from the master plan submitted, breaking down the work elements and how it will be executed.
- Negotiate the prices of materials and track orders.
- Supervise contracted staff, junior engineers and all artisans.
- Ensure projects meet agreed specifications, budgets, and timescales.
- Liaise with subcontractors and other professional staff especially quantity surveyors and the overall project manager.
- Provide technical advice and solve problems on site. Prepare site reports, method statements, and other paperwork.
