Sheltered Hope Initiative is an NGO with the mission to eradicate homelessness in Nigeria by providing communal shelters and support services. Our goal is to help homeless Nigerian residents transition to self-sufficiency and become valuable and contributing members of society. We provide essential shelter, skills, and tools needed for reintegration into society one city at a time.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Shelter Manager located in Lagos. The Shelter Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations of the shelter, managing staff, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for residents. Tasks include case management, staff training, coordinating social services, and conducting research to improve shelter programs. The Shelter Manager will also handle communication with external partners and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Training skills
- Experience in Case Management and Social Services
- Ability to conduct and utilize Research effectively
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Compassionate and empathetic demeanor
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or related field Previous experience in shelter management or a related field is a plus
