We are growing rapidly and seeking a senior level Accountant to take ownership of our financial operations, reporting, and analysis. This role will support our leadership team with clear, data‑driven insights while ensuring smooth day‑to‑day accounting processes for a multi‑location, high‑volume food delivery business while ensuring accurate financial management, safeguard company assets, and uphold the highest ethical standards.
Role Overview
The Senior Accountant will manage Yum’s accounting processes, financial reporting, and inventory control. They will also play a critical role in fraud prevention, implementing strong internal controls to protect company resources. This position requires absolute integrity, strong commercial acumen, and deep experience in financial management for high‑volume food or retail businesses.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management
- Maintain accurate financial records for daily sales, expenses, and payroll.
- Post and reconcile transactions in QuickBooks.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage accounts receivable/payable and reconcile bank statements.
Fraud Prevention & Internal Controls
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal control systems to prevent fraud, theft, and misappropriation of funds.
- Investigate and report any discrepancies or suspicious activities immediately.
- Enforce segregation of duties and approval processes for financial transactions.
Financial Modeling & Analysis
- Build and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
- Track and analyze KPIs such as cost per order, revenue per kitchen, and gross margin.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve profitability.
Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor inventory levels, track food costs, and reconcile variances.
- Work closely with kitchen operations to reduce wastage and optimize procurement.
- Ensure proper cost allocation for raw materials and packaging.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare statutory filings.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Maintain accurate documentation for financial and regulatory purposes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ICAN/ACCA preferred).
- Must have 5–7 years experience in accounting, preferably in F&B, hospitality, retail, or e‑commerce.
- Proven ability to prevent, detect, and investigate fraud.
- Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and ethical decision‑making.
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel (Pivot Tables, advanced formulas).
- Strong experience in financial modelling and cost analysis.
- Knowledge of inventory management and food cost accounting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
