Job Summary

The Sales Field Promoter is responsible for driving sales growth by achieving set targets, expanding the Agro-dealer network in the assigned states/region, and supporting farmers through model farms, demonstrations, and field day promotions. The role involves consolidating farmer and Agro-dealer data for decision-making, collecting and analyzing market and competitor information, and spearheading sales promotion activities. In addition, the position contributes to new product advancement by providing quality data, verifying product performance in the market, and ensuring effective farmer engagement to strengthen adoption and sales.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Achievement of sales target
  • Consolidation of data on farmers and Agro-dealers to enable effective decision making
  • Collection, analyzing and presentation of market information on a periodic basis
  • Collection, analyzing of competitors activities and information in your areas of primary assignment
  • Establishment of model farms
  • Spearhead sales promotion activities
  • Contribute as part of the Nigerian team to the new product advancement process which deals with quality data proposals, etc. and support to verify the new product performance in the market
  • To Increase Agro-dealers network
  • Follow up on regional demonstration to ensure successful establishment, farmers meeting and fields day promotion
  • Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as may be required in the discharge of duties.


Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience, Skills)

Education:

  • University degree. A postgraduate degree will be considered as an advantage

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years experience in a similar role at a regional level in an agriculture or consumer industry
  • Experience in previous sales role(s) in a seed or related agribusiness , life sciences , chemical or FMCG industry

Skills:

  • Effective communicator; able to package and deliver messages in a clear and convincing manner and able to influence the right action from the audience
  • Strong execution capability
  • A natural orchestrator; able to keep the team moving along the same direction and at the same pace
  • High degree of creativity and innovativeness
  • Agile
