Sales Assistant
Position: Skincare Retail Sales Assistant Department: Retail Operations Reports to: Store Manager/Retail Supervisor Employment Type: Full-time/Part-time Location: Lekki
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Skincare Retail Sales Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in skincare and beauty, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to educate customers about skincare products while driving sales. This role requires someone who can build relationships with customers and provide personalized skincare recommendations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service & Sales
- Greet customers warmly and assess their skincare needs
- Provide expert product recommendations based on skin type, concerns, and preferences
- Demonstrate proper product usage and application techniques
- Achieve individual and team sales targets consistently
- Process transactions accurately using POS systems
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally
- Build and maintain customer relationships to encourage repeat business
Product Knowledge & Education
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all skincare products, ingredients, and benefits
- Stay updated on new product launches, promotions, and industry trends
- Educate customers on skincare routines and product compatibility
- Provide samples and trial sizes when appropriate
Store Operations
- Maintain attractive product displays and ensure proper merchandising
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restock needs
- Keep store clean, organized, and visually appealing
- Ensure product expiry dates are monitored and rotated properly
Administrative Tasks
- Update customer information and preferences in database
- Participate in inventory counts and stock management
- Process online orders for in-store pickup
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and purchases
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
- Associate degree in business, marketing or related field. BSC/HND or equivalent required
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred (1-2 years)
- Skincare, beauty, or cosmetics retail experience is an advantage
- Certification in skincare, esthetics, or beauty therapy is a plus
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service orientation with patience and empathy
- Basic understanding of skincare principles and ingredient knowledge
- Ability to learn and retain detailed product information
- Sales-driven mindset with ability to meet targets

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₦100,000.00 - ₦150,000.00 per month
