We're seeking an experienced Product Owner and Project Manager to lead the development and launch of our B2B project. You'll drive product strategy, manage development timelines, and ensure successful delivery of our MVP while coordinating cross-functional teams.
Dual Role Responsibilities
Product Owner
- Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for B2B marketplace
- Write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature specifications
- Prioritize product backlog based on business value and user impact
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements
- Conduct user research and analyze customer feedback
- Define MVP scope and feature prioritization for market launch
- Manage product backlog and sprint planning activities
- Make product decisions on features, scope, and trade-offs
Project Manager
- Plan, execute, and monitor project timelines and deliverables
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (design, development, marketing)
- Manage project scope, budget, and resource allocation
- Track project progress and identify potential risks or blockers
- Facilitate daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Ensure quality delivery within timeline and budget constraints
- Communicate project status to stakeholders and leadership
- Manage vendor relationships and external dependencies
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Planning
- Develop comprehensive product roadmap for 12-18 months
- Define user personas for suppliers, buyers, and administrators
- Create detailed user journey maps and workflow documentation
- Establish product KPIs and success metrics
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research
- Validate product-market fit through user testing and feedback
Agile Development Management
- Lead sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Manage product backlog with clear prioritization
- Write user stories with detailed acceptance criteria
- Coordinate with development team on technical feasibility
- Ensure adherence to agile methodologies and best practices
- Facilitate communication between technical and business teams
Stakeholder Coordination
- Regular reporting to leadership on progress and metrics
- Coordinate with marketing team on go-to-market strategy
- Manage expectations and communicate changes to stakeholders
- Gather feedback from potential users and customers
- Align product development with business objectives
- Present product updates and demonstrations to investors
Quality Assurance & Delivery
- Define acceptance criteria and testing requirements
- Coordinate user acceptance testing and quality assurance
- Ensure deliverables meet functional and business requirements
- Manage bug tracking, resolution, and release cycles
- Oversee platform deployment and launch activities
- Monitor post-launch performance and user adoption
Required Experience
Product Owner Experience
- 3+ years as Product Owner or Product Manager
- Experience with B2B platforms, marketplaces, or e-commerce systems
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- User story writing and backlog management expertise
- Analytics and data-driven decision making experience
- MVP development and iterative product launches
Project Management Skills
- 3+ years project management experience in technology projects
- PMP, Agile, or Scrum certification preferred
- Experience managing cross-functional development teams
- Budget management and resource allocation experience
- Risk management and issue resolution capabilities
- Stakeholder management and communication skills
Technical Understanding
- Understanding of web development processes and constraints
- Familiarity with APIs, databases, and system architecture
- Knowledge of design and development workflows
- Experience with project management tools (Jira, Asana, Monday)
- Understanding of software development lifecycle

Pay: ₦300,000.00 - ₦600,000.00 per month
