Job Summary:
To manage the procurement of goods, services, and inventory required for Konga’s online and offline business operations. The Procurement Executive will ensure cost-effective sourcing, maintain supplier relationships, support inventory availability, and uphold procurement best practices tailored to the fast-paced e-commerce environment.
KEY DUTIES:
- Source and procure merchandise and operational supplies to support Konga’s KOS-e-commerce platform, retail outlets, Corporate Sales Units and all internal requisitions.
- Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate favourable pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Execute registration of quality vendors, able to compete with exiting vendor.
- Support product category managers with supplier intelligence and sourcing strategies.
- Maintain and update the supplier database, ensuring up-to-date contracts and compliance records.
- Track procurement KPIs such as lead time, cost savings, and supplier performance.
- Ensure procurement compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, ethical guidelines ensure timely processing of purchase orders (POs).
- Assist in demand forecasting based on sales trends and promotional campaigns.
- Work with finance and logistics teams to ensure seamless procurement-to-payment processes.
- Ensure up-to-date procurement documents regularization for inbounded items, cross docked items, and journals.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2–5 years procurement experience, preferably in e-commerce, retail, or FMCG sectors.
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (CIPS, CIPSMN) are an added advantage.
- Knowledge of e-commerce supply chain dynamics is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
