The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) invites applications for a PhD position focused on the multiscale modelling of grain boundary failure in high-strength aluminium alloys. Requirements

– Academic background in solid mechanics, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field

– Master’s degree (or equivalent) in one of the above areas, corresponding to a five-year Norwegian course with 120 credits at the master’s level; Master’s students may apply if the degree is completed before the start date

– Strong academic performance, with an average grade equal to B or better according to NTNU’s grading scale, or equivalent academic standing

– Fulfillment of the admission requirements for the faculty’s Doctoral Programme

– Fluency in spoken and written English
