? Role Overview

As an Optometrist at Ashmed Specialist Hospital, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive eye care to our patients, conducting routine eye exams, diagnosing vision problems, and prescribing corrective lenses and treatment plans.

? Key Responsibilities

Conduct full eye health and vision examinations using advanced diagnostic tools.

Diagnose and manage vision disorders such as myopia, hyperopia, glaucoma, and cataracts.

Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications as needed.

Work collaboratively with ophthalmologists, GPs, and other healthcare providers.

Educate patients on proper eye care and visual hygiene.

Maintain accurate patient records in line with regulatory requirements.

✅ Requirements

Bachelor's degree (OD) in Optometry from a recognized institution.

Current practicing license from the Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Registration Board of Nigeria (ODORBN).

Minimum of 2 years’ post-NYSC clinical experience.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Attention to detail and a patient-centered approach to care.
