A reputable College of Health Sciences and Technology in Ekiti State is seeking to employ a suitably qualified Medical Laboratory Technician.
The Medical Laboratory Technician will perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to support disease diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
The role is also crucial in facilitating academic practical sessions and patient care within the College’s health facilities. Key Responsibilities: Collect, prepare, and analyze patient samples (blood, urine, tissues, etc.).
Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests using standard operating procedures.
Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment. Record and report test results accurately and promptly. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality control standards. Maintain laboratory records and manage inventory of supplies.
Qualifications: Professional Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (from a recognized College of Health Sciences & Technology). Certification and valid practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in clinical or academic laboratory practice, with exposure to research and development.
Proficiency in laboratory equipment and techniques. Good computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email, and digital tools).
Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience
