Responsibilities:

Operations & Production

• Lead and coordinate machine shop activities related to casing and tubing threading.
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining high-quality standards and minimizing downtime.
• Monitor workflow and adjust resources as needed to achieve operational targets.
Review work orders, drawings, and specifications to verify correct setup and execution.

Leadership & Supervision

• Direct, train, and mentor machinists, operators, and support staff.
• Conduct shift meetings, assign tasks, and monitor employee performance.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a culture of safety and quality.
Assist in hiring, onboarding, and skills development of shop personnel.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Conduct safety meetings, audits, and ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment (5S practices).

Equipment & Maintenance

• Oversee the operation, setup, and maintenance of CNC and manual threading machines.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and respond to equipment breakdowns promptly.
Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to improve machine reliability and performance.

Quality Assurance

• Ensure all casing and tubing threading meets API/ISO specifications and customer requirements.
• Work closely with quality control to resolve issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain accurate production and inspection records.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize processes.
• Participate in lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives.
Support the implementation of new technologies and equipment upgrades.

Requirements:

• Degree in engineering or related field.
• Technical/vocational training preferred
• Minimum 5+ years of machine shop experience in oilfield casing/tubing threading or related industry.
• At least 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical documents
• Strong understanding of API threading specifications and inspection standards
• Proficiency with CNC and manual lathes, threading machines, and related equipment
• Knowledge of tooling feeds/speeds and cutting practices
• Effective communication and organizational abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
