Requirements
* BSc or HND in electrical engineering or related fields
* Proven experience working as a fiber optic technician or related roles.
* Strong active-listening and verbal-communication skills.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and stakeholders.
* Excellent problem-solving and logical thinking skills.
* Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
* In-depth knowledge of industry and technological trends
Responsibilities
* Resolving, repairing, and installing fiber optics systems, ensuring that they work
properly.
* Maintaining and ensuring full compliance with all direct broadband and mobile
processes and procedures relating to fiber optic engineering and network architecture.
* Examining and replacing faulty and/or old fiber optic cables.
* Organizing scheduled maintenance routines and taking care of fiber splicing and rectify
fiber optic problem areas.
* Developing sensor indicators and conduct timely inspections, so that a faulty fiber optic
system does not destabilize its performance.
* Executing premises cabling and taking care of the underground and underwater cabling
requirements.
* Keeping track of the signal strength of different devices including television, telephone,
and high-speed internet.
* Working closely with customer service providers, vendors, and partners to resolve
customer complaints and deliver high quality and reliable network performance.
* Formulating and maintaining system records and system designs.
