Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Conduct site inspections and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Provide HSE training and awareness programs.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses.
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety audits on construction sites.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations and industry best practices.
- Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols.
- Develop and maintain HSE reports, documentation, and performance metrics.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, government agencies, and auditors regarding HSE matters.
- Conduct emergency drills and implement emergency response plans. Drive continuous improvement in HSE performance across all company projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of HSE experience in the construction, civil engineering, or oil & gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Experience conducting incident investigations and risk assessments
- Strong communication and leadership skills to promote a positive safety culture.
- Proficiency in HSE software and reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently and make strategic safety decisions.
- Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent is a plus.
