Job Summary
The Head, Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing effective marketing strategies to promote the bank’s products and services, drive customer acquisition and retention, and enhance brand visibility. The role requires a dynamic and innovative leader with strong experience in financial services marketing, excellent people management skills, and the ability to deliver measurable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to achieve business goals and increase market share.
- Lead brand management initiatives to strengthen the visibility and positioning of the bank in the microfinance sector.
- Drive customer acquisition, product adoption, and cross-selling of financial products.
- Oversee market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights to inform marketing strategies.
- Plan and execute advertising, promotions, digital campaigns, and community engagement activities.
- Collaborate with business units to design tailored marketing strategies for different customer segments (retail, SME, micro-credit).
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on the performance of marketing initiatives, ensuring ROI on campaigns.
- Manage external agencies, media partners, and vendors to deliver effective campaigns.
- Train, mentor, and lead the marketing team to deliver outstanding performance. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards in all marketing activities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (MBA or professional certification such as CIM is an added advantage).
- Minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience in marketing, preferably within the financial services or microfinance sector, with at least 3 years in a senior/leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing, branding, and customer engagement strategies.
- Proven track record of designing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Innovative, result-driven, and target-oriented personality.
