Job Objective:
The Head, Finance & Strategy shall maintain the financial books of the organization, providing financial reports and interpreting financial information to Management. The candidate will also be responsible for budgeting and financial forecasts drawing from inputs set by Management and the Board.
He / She shall be responsible for conducting accurate data analysis and offering advice to management on strategies to maximize profits and secure long-term success for the company.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
- Advise Management on investment activities and overall financial strategies.
- Conduct accurate data analysis and offer advice to management on strategies to maximize profits, securing long-term success for the company.
- Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company's actual performance compared to the business plans.
- Plan, organize, and execute financial tasks and projects for the organization.
- Achieve a proper mix of equity and debt to minimize costs and maximize operational profit.
- Manage and monitor metrics, KPI tracking, and reports.
- Provide financial insight and analysis to drive the business performance of the organization.
- Understand and calculate the risks involved in the financial activities of the organization.
- Strategize on fund procurement through banks and other financial institutions.
- Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths.
Key Requirements
- B.Sc degree in Finance, Accounting, or any related field.
- Evidence of completion/exemption of/from NYSC.
- Up to 5+ years of relevant experience in a financial service or financial technology industry.
- ACCA/ACA certification is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of transaction monitoring and financial reporting.
- Proficient user of finance software.
- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles with specific knowledge within the Financial Service context.
- Exceptional proficiency with Microsoft Excel (financial modelling and valuations).
- Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
