DelonJobs is seeking to hire a Group Head, Information and Technology for a leading financial Company in Lagos, Nigeria.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the engineering strategy, execution, and technology infrastructure for a diversified financial group. He/She will oversee platform development, systems integration, cybersecurity, and ensure seamless, secure, and scalable transaction processing across multiple channels and geographies
Interested candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an IT related field with a minimum of 8–10 years of experience in software engineering or technical leadership, preferably in fintech, BDC, IMTO, or banking.
Monthly net salary is between N 1,170,000 - N 2,250,000

Key Responsibilities:
1.
Group Technology Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement a unified technological roadmap for the Group and all its subsidiaries, ensuring alignment with the Group’s strategic goals.
- Provide strategic direction and technical oversight to subsidiary CTOs and Heads of Technology.
- Promote technological standardization across subsidiaries to ensure platform compatibility, data harmonization, and shared innovation. Participate in Board-level and executive discussions across the Group to ensure technology considerations are central to business planning.
2.
Oversight of Subsidiary Technology Operations
- Supervise the design, development, and operation of technology platforms across all subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate IT infrastructure, core transaction systems, API integrations, and digital product rollouts in all markets.
- Ensure consistent implementation of IT service delivery standards and robust SLA performance across all regional offices and subsidiaries. Consolidate reporting structures for key technology metrics from subsidiaries to group level.
3.
Cybersecurity & Regulatory Compliance
- Implement a uniform cybersecurity framework across all subsidiaries to safeguard customer data and prevent breaches.
- Ensure each subsidiary complies with local and international regulatory standards (e.g., CBN, GDPR, PCI DSS, NDPR). Harmonize IT risk management processes and data governance policies across jurisdictions.
4.
Group Innovation & Product Development
- Lead cross-subsidiary product innovation initiatives in money transfer, mobile wallet, blockchain, digital banking, and real-time payment services.
- Encourage the adaptation and localization of group products to suit regional market demands while maintaining backend consistency. Oversee a centralized product development hub that supports rapid scaling across subsidiaries.
5.
Technology Governance & Enterprise Architecture
- Develop and enforce group-wide technology governance frameworks, policies, and controls.
- Standardize enterprise architecture across subsidiaries to reduce duplication, promote efficiency, and enable seamless data flow. Establish group-level systems for performance monitoring, data analytics, change management, and incident escalation.
6.
People Leadership & Capacity Building
- Lead, mentor, and manage a geographically dispersed team of CTOs, IT Managers, Engineers, and Developers across subsidiaries.
- Drive the establishment of Centers of Excellence within the group to build internal capabilities in AI, DevOps, data science, and cybersecurity. Ensure a group-wide talent development framework, succession planning, and ongoing training programs in emerging technologies.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- Certifications in cloud architecture (AWS, Azure), DevOps, or cybersecurity (CISSP, CEH) are an advantage.
- Possess a minimum of 8–10 years of experience in software engineering or technical leadership, preferably in fintech, BDC, IMTO, or banking.
- Strong background in scalable, distributed systems, microservices, and high-availability financial platforms.
- Proficient in backend and API development (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java) and mobile/web frameworks (e.g., React, Flutter).
- Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS/Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices and regulatory compliance (CBN, EFCC, NFIU, GDPR).
- Experience with IMTO integrations, FX engines, and third-party payment APIs (e.g., NIBSS, SWIFT, Flutterwave, Remita).
- Strong project management skills (Agile/Scrum), with the ability to translate business goals into technology deliverables.
- Ability to recruit, mentor, and retain top engineering talent in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for leveraging emerging technologies like blockchain, AI/ML, or RegTech to improve product offerings. Deep understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in Nigeria’s FX and remittance space.
