Job Overview:
VaNILLa Restaurant & Lounge, Abuja’s premier destination for fine dining and upscale entertainment, is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee all aspects of our restaurant and lounge operations. This individual will lead the team in delivering exceptional guest experiences, develop innovative events and concepts, and ensure the highest standard of service delivery, especially to our high-net-worth clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the restaurant and lounge.
- Supervise all departments including front of house, kitchen, bar, events, and guest relations.
- Design and execute creative weekly/monthly events, themed nights, and signature experiences to attract and retain clientele.
- Ensure top-tier hospitality standards that cater to a discerning clientele, including VIPs and high-net-worth individuals.
- Monitor financial performance, control costs, and ensure profitability.
- Hire, train, and motivate staff to maintain service excellence and brand consistency.
- Manage reservations, guest feedback, and ensure a seamless dining and lounge experience.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations. Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotions, social media content, and partnerships.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior management role within a high-end restaurant or luxury lounge environment.
- Proven ability to curate and manage events with flair and originality.
- Strong understanding of fine dining service standards, wine knowledge, and lounge operations.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience dealing with VIPs and high-profile guests with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and KPIs. Well-groomed, confident, and articulate with a strong presence.

- Passionate about hospitality, creativity, and guest experience.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and solve problems quickly. Knowledge of restaurant technology platforms (POS, reservations, inventory systems).
