Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Farm Manager to oversee and manage a diversified farm project , including crop production, greenhouse operations, poultry, and other livestock . The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on farm management experience and practical knowledge of modern farming systems and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Crop and Greenhouse Management:
• Plan, implement, and oversee crop planting, irrigation, fertilization, pest/disease management, and harvesting.
• Supervise greenhouse operations, ensuring optimal production schedules and environmental conditions.
• Poultry and Livestock Management:
• Oversee daily poultry operations, including feeding, vaccination, biosecurity, and flock health management.
• Manage other livestock (if applicable), ensuring high standards of animal welfare, health, and productivity.
• Farm Operations and Resource Management:
• Supervise daily farm activities and farm staff, ensuring efficient and timely task execution.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Monitor, maintain, and manage farm equipment, structures, and infrastructure.
• Record-Keeping and Technology Use:
• Use MS Excel and related applications for tracking farm records, flock and crop performance, input usage, and costs.
• Monitor and analyze productivity data to optimize farm outputs and profitability.
• Financial Management:
• Assist in developing and managing farm budgets and expense monitoring.
• Track input inventories and coordinate timely procurement of farm supplies.
• Reporting and Liaison:
• Prepare periodic reports on farm performance, productivity, and financials.
• Liaise with suppliers, vendors, off-takers, and regulatory authorities as required.
• Staff Management and Training:
Train, supervise, and motivate farm workers to ensure operational excellence and adherence to farm protocols.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Crop Science, Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing diversified farm operations, including crop production, greenhouse management, and poultry or livestock management .
• Proficiency in using a laptop and MS Excel for record-keeping and data analysis .
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
Ability to work outdoors and adapt to seasonal farming demands.

Preferred Attributes:

• Knowledge of integrated farming systems and climate-smart agricultural practices.
• Experience in using farm management software and monitoring tools.
Ability to analyze data for continuous improvement in farm operations.
