Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator with strong craftsmanship in metal, wood, and steel works. The ideal candidate will have practical hands-on experience with cutting, welding, shaping, and assembling structures, as well as proficiency in using fabrication tools and equipment. You will be responsible for creating, repairing, and assembling components and structures that support ARONE’s engineering and product development projects. Attention to detail, precision, and creativity are essential in this role.
Work Suitability Requirement:
- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail.
- Applicants must be located in Enugu State or willing to relocate.
- Completed NYSC / Not planning to attend NYSC in the next 2 years.
- Bachelor’s or Diploma in Welding & Fabrication Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial & Production Engineering, or relevant practical experience.
Core Technical Requirement(s):
- Excellent craftsmanship in metal, wood, and steel fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong skills in welding, cutting, grinding, bending, and finishing materials.
- Competence in operating fabrication equipment such as drills, saws, grinders, shears, and welding machines.
- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in a fabrication workshop.
Primary Technical Requirements:
- Measure, cut, and assemble metal, wood, and steel components with precision.
- Fabricate and repair parts, structures, and prototypes for engineering projects.
- Ensure high-quality finishing, including polishing, painting, or protective coating.
- Inspect and maintain fabrication tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to bring concepts and drawings into functional products.
- Maintain accurate records of materials, tools, and completed work.
Secondary Technical Requirements:
- Ability to work with modern fabrication technologies such as CNC cutting or laser machines (preferred but not mandatory).
- Familiarity with different fabrication materials beyond metal, wood, and steel (e.g., composites, plastics).
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues quickly and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in fabrication techniques.
