Role Description
The Execution Lead – Infrastructure Fund will be responsible for leading the end-to-end execution of infrastructure investments across sectors such as energy, transportation, digital, and social infrastructure in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa. Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure Investments, the Execution Lead will coordinate all aspects of deal execution — from due diligence and financial modeling to legal structuring, documentation, and closing. The role requires strong technical, analytical, and project management skills, as well as the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments including government agencies, development partners, and private sector co-investors. The Execution Lead will play a key role in building and managing a high-quality portfolio aligned with the organization's Asset Management’s strategic, financial, and impact objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field from a reputable institution.
- Advanced degree (MBA, MSc) in Finance, Infrastructure, or Business is preferred.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA, PMP) will be an advantage.
- 7–10+ years of experience in infrastructure investment, project finance, or fund execution within asset management, investment banking, or development finance institutions.
- Proven track record executing infrastructure investments in Nigeria or broader Sub-Saharan Africa (especially in transport, energy, utilities, or digital infrastructure).
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams including legal, technical, and ESG advisors on complex infrastructure deals.
- Exposure to fund structuring, due diligence, investment committee presentations, and portfolio construction.
- Strong leaderships skill and the ability to provide direction and motivation to the team
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate the team’s strategy to key stakeholders
- Ability to interact directly and independently with the senior management of potential clients, of financial and technical partners as well as senior government officials
- Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Good negotiation skills Good relationship building and management skills
