- Product Costing: Calculate the cost of raw materials, labor, and overhead for each product to determine accurate pricing.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing annual and semi-annual budgets, and monitor actual costs against projections.
- Inventory Management: Analyze inventory levels, supervise stock counts, and help prevent overstocking or obsolescence.
- Cost Control: Work with production teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and reduce waste.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly cost reports, analyze variances, and present findings to management.
- System Development: Help build or improve cost management systems and ensure data accuracy in financial software.
- Compliance & Audits: Ensure all cost accounting practices comply with internal policies and external regulations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
- Experience in manufacturing or food production is often preferred.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
