Job Description/Requirements
A construction manager has a deep understanding of all facets of the building process, from the initial planning and foundational work through to project completion. Their job is to coordinate, supervise and oversee a lot of moving pieces at once, and keep the project on track, on time, and on budget. Act as the intermediary between clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and regulatory body.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning : Oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and quality standards.
- Team Management : Lead and coordinate construction teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and labourers.
- Site Management : Monitor construction sites, ensuring safety protocols, quality control, and compliance with regulations.
- Budgeting and Cost Control : Manage project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Communication : Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Risk Management : Identify and mitigate potential risks, resolving issues promptly to minimize delays.
- Quality Assurance : Ensure construction work meets quality standards, codes, and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Master’s Degree will be an added advantage
- COREN Registered
- Certified PM with background in Civil Engineering/QS/Building Tech/Construction Management is an added advantage
- Minimum of 8 years and above experience in the Construction Industry
