- We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and reliable Cashier to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, accurately processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.
- This role plays a key part in ensuring a positive shopping experience for all our customers.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with inquiries or requests.
- Scan and process items accurately using the store’s POS system.
- Handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment, issuing receipts and change where necessary.
- Bag, box, or wrap purchased items neatly.
- Follow all store policies regarding transactions, returns, and exchanges.
- Report price discrepancies, product issues, or unusual transactions to the supervisor.
- Maintain an organized and clean checkout area.
- Monitor and balance the cash register at the start and end of shifts.
- Assist in restocking shelves near checkout counters when needed.
- Uphold store standards for cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of OND, HND, or University Degree in any discipline.
- Previous work experience in a retail or grocery store is mandatory.
- Basic math skills and ability to handle transactions accurately.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Honest, reliable, and punctual.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
