- Advise clients on public and private offerings, equity and debt instruments, and other capital market transactions.
- Draft and review offer documents, prospectuses, trust deeds, and other related documentation.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies such as the SEC, NSE/NGX, and CSCS on compliance, filings, and approvals.
- Conduct legal due diligence and risk assessments on transactions.
- Provide transactional support in mergers, acquisitions, listings, and restructurings involving capital market instruments.
- Stay up-to-date on evolving trends and regulations in the capital markets and securities law space.
- Supervise and mentor junior associates as appropriate
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and BL from the Nigerian Law School
- 4–6 years post-call experience with a strong focus on capital markets or securities law
- Proven track record advising on equity and debt capital raising transactions
- Excellent drafting, research, and analytical skills
- Strong communication and client relationship management skills
- Experience interacting with regulators and understanding of SEC rules and NGX listing requirements
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience from a top-tier commercial law firm or in-house legal team in financial services
