Job Position: Business Development Manager
Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Summary


  • As a highly motivated Business Development Manager, you will spearhead client acquisition, revenue growth, and market penetration in the renewable energy and security tech sectors.
  • The ideal candidate will combine technical knowledge with proven sales expertise to develop strategic partnerships and exceed targets.

Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Strategy:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in solar energy, CCTV, and access control markets.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet quarterly revenue targets.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to refine offerings.

Client & Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with B2B clients, contractors, and government entities.
  • Lead high-value negotiations and close deals with corporate clients and project developers.
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums.

Sales Performance & Reporting:

  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract signing.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and provide weekly sales reports.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design customized solutions for clients.

Market Intelligence:

  • Stay updated on Nigerian energy policies, incentives, and compliance standards.
  • Leverage knowledge of solar financing models (e.g., PAYG, leasing) to drive sales.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years in B2B sales/business development, preferably in solar, security tech, or construction.

Skills:

  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office, and data analysis.
  • Technical understanding of solar PV systems, CCTV, and access control solutions.
  • Attributes: Self-driven, adaptable, and results-oriented with a proven sales track record.
