Backend Developer (VOIP)

Voyatek Group is seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer with deep experience in Laravel (PHP) and the ability to build voice integration systems from the ground up . This role requires hands-on experience with SIP, RTP, Asterisk, FreeSWITCH , or other VOIP technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining the backend systems that power real-time voice communication features within our platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Laravel (PHP)
• Build and manage custom voice infrastructure (not third-party APIs)
• Implement and support SIP signaling, RTP media streams, call routing, and IVR logic
• Work with Asterisk or FreeSWITCH to set up voice servers and manage call flows
• Ensure system performance, security, and scalability
• Collaborate with other developers, DevOps, and product teams
• Troubleshoot issues related to voice quality, latency, and connectivity

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of backend development experience with Laravel (PHP)
• Proven experience in building custom voice/telephony systems
• Strong understanding of SIP, RTP, and VOIP infrastructure
• Experience working with Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, or similar open-source tools
• Familiarity with Linux servers, networking, and system administration
• Good knowledge of relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
• Solid problem-solving and debugging skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with WebRTC
• Familiarity with NAT traversal, STUN/TURN servers
• Previous work in telecom or communication technology platforms
