Job Summary
The Architect Intern/Graduate Trainee supports the design and execution of architectural projects by assisting with concept development, drafting, 3D modelling, and site coordination. This role is ideal for fresh graduates seeking hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative design environment. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in a professional architectural setting.
Key Responsibilities
Design Support & Drafting
- Assist in developing architectural drawings, plans, and 3D models
- Translate sketches and concepts into digital formats using design software
- Support the preparation of presentations and visual content
Project Coordination & Site Work
- Participate in site visits, surveys, and measurements
- Document site observations and support alignment of design with site realities
- Assist in compiling site reports and client presentation material
Documentation & Research
- Organise project files, architectural references, and materials
- Conduct research on materials, codes, and design solutions
- Assist in preparing schedules, BOQs, and drawing registers
Collaboration & Learning
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and consultants
- Attend project meetings and take notes/action points
- Receive mentorship and apply feedback for personal and professional growth
Qualifications & Requirements
- B.Sc. in Architecture
- Proficient in any of ArchiCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, 3d Max, and Lumion
- Basic understanding of building codes, design processes & construction practices
- Creative, adaptable, and highly detail-oriented
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
