About the Role:
We are recruiting for a passionate and innovative Animal Scientist to support our client’s efforts in sustainable livestock development. The role involves developing breeding strategies, improving productivity, and integrating data-driven practices across the farm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on animal genetics, behaviour, and productivity
- Develop and assess breeding and feeding programs
- Monitor performance data and suggest improvements
- Collaborate with veterinarians and nutritionists to optimise health
- Recommend and apply the latest best practices in livestock science
- Maintain scientific documentation and reports
Requirements:
- MSc in Animal Science or related field/equiivalent
- Minimum 10 years practical and/or research experience in livestock management
- Expertise in genetics, reproduction, and production systems
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills
- Excellent team coordination and leadership capabilities
