Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Agency Manager to lead our insurance operations in Lagos. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the agency, including sales performance, recruitment, training, and retention of both Unit Managers and Financial Advisors. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record in driving business growth within the insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead and manage a team of Unit Managers and Financial Advisors to achieve business objectives.
- Monitor individual and team KPIs; identify performance gaps and implement targeted improvement plans. Set, track, and ensure the achievement of monthly and quarterly performance targets.
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and implement innovative sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth.
- Analyse market trends and identify opportunities for agency expansion and innovation. Ensure alignment with overall business goals and collaborate with cross-functional teams to report insights and outcomes.
Recruitment, Training & Retention
- Recruit top-performing Unit Managers and Financial Advisors to grow a high-performing team.
- Provide onboarding, training, and continuous professional development to ensure skill alignment and productivity. Foster a culture of excellence, motivation, and long-term retention.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Promote a customer-first culture and uphold the agency’s reputation and brand values.
Compliance & Operational Oversight
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations, internal policies, and ethical standards. Maintain operational efficiency and support the hybrid work model as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales leadership, business development, or agency management within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of insurance industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to thrive independently and within a hybrid work environment. Prior experience in recruiting, mentoring, and managing performance-based teams is a plus.
