Output Expectation: Full high-quality illustrated assets for 1 complete explainer video (8–10 mins), ready for animation.

Core Responsibilities:

• Create original, visually striking illustrations for explainer videos in collaboration with the motion design team.
• Work closely with the After Effects Animator to ensure assets are well-prepared and optimized for animation.
• Develop scenes, characters, and environmental elements that align with the storytelling and brand style.
• Follow storyboards and creative briefs while contributing ideas to improve narrative and visual impact.
• Maintain stylistic consistency across all project assets.
Adapt illustration style to match reference materials or established visual identity.

Required Skills & Tools:

• Adobe Illustrator (expert level) — creating layered, animation-ready assets.
• Adobe Photoshop — for texture, color adjustments, and asset enhancements.
• Strong drawing and vector illustration skills with a keen sense of composition, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
• Understanding of animation-friendly design (working knowledge of how After Effects interprets Illustrator files).
Ability to break down complex concepts into clear, engaging visuals (especially for educational/scientific topics).

Bonus Points (Not Mandatory but Valuable):

• Experience creating assets for motion graphics explainer videos (preferably in a science/education style).
• Basic understanding of storyboarding.
• Familiarity with animation workflows in Adobe After Effects.
• Comfort collaborating remotely with designers, animators, and scriptwriters.
Experience in layout design for both static and animated media.

Performance Expectations for 6 Weeks:

• Work from a provided script + storyboard to create all required illustrated assets for a single 8–10 minute explainer video.
• Deliver layered, organized, and animation-ready AI files.
• Attend regular review sessions to incorporate feedback quickly.
Meet the final deadline without sacrificing quality.
