Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic, personable, and results-driven Admissions Officer to serve as the first point of contact for prospective parents and students. This role requires someone who can effectively "sell the school" by showcasing its unique offerings, guiding families through the admissions process, and representing the school's values with professionalism and warmth. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a welcoming presence, and a passion for education.
Key Responsibilities:
Frontline Engagement & School Promotion
- Act as the first point of contact for all admissions-related inquiries (in person, phone, email, or social media).
- Conduct personalized school tours for prospective parents and students, highlighting academic programs, extracurricular offerings, facilities, and achievements.
- Articulate the school’s mission, vision, values, and competitive advantages clearly and persuasively.
- Build strong relationships with families to understand their needs and position the school as their ideal choice.
- Represent the school at education fairs, open days, school expos, and other promotional events.
Admissions Process Management
- Coordinate the entire admissions process from enquiry to enrolment.
- Maintain and update the admissions database with prospective student details.
- Guide families through the application, assessment, interview, and offer stages.
- Ensure timely follow-up communication and provide feedback after assessments/interviews.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to organize entrance exams, parent meetings, and induction programs.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Track and report on application statistics, conversion rates, and admissions trends.
- Provide monthly and termly reports on inquiries, school tour feedback, and admission progress.
- Analyze data to recommend improvements in the admissions strategy and outreach activities.
Stakeholder Relations & Communication
- Maintain close communication with parents to ensure a seamless admissions experience.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to update admissions materials, website content, and promotional brochures.
- Liaise with Heads of Department, the school administrator, and finance on placement and tuition matters.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in customer-facing roles; school admissions or educational consultancy is a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
- Strong sales acumen and the ability to convert inquiries into enrolments.
- Professional appearance, polished presentation, and a warm, confident personality.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Familiarity with educational systems (British, Nigerian, or International Curricula) is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and admissions platforms.
