Position: Accountant (Engineering Company)

Salary: ₦200,000 – ₦400,000
Job Summary:
An established engineering company in Victoria Island, Lagos is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support management with accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in financial management within an engineering, construction, or technical services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, statements, and reports.
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, tax filings, and audit requirements.
- Implement cost control measures and monitor project-related expenses.
- Collaborate with project managers to track budgets and financial performance of engineering projects.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support management decisions.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
Requirements:
- B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Professional qualification (ICAN, ACCA) required.
- 4–7 years’ proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in an engineering or construction company.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, IFRS, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, ERP systems).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and integrity.
