Job Summary
We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Accountant with strong auditing experience to manage financial records, ensure compliance with statutory and internal policies, and support regular internal audits. The ideal candidate will play a dual role handling both day-to-day accounting functions and leading or supporting internal audit exercises

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Reconcile bank statements, receivables, and payables.
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
- Handle payroll, invoicing, petty cash, and expense claims.
- File all relevant statutory returns (e.g., VAT, PAYE, WHT) promptly and accurately.
- Monitor fixed assets and update depreciation schedules.
- Support external audit processes by preparing schedules and responding to audit queries.
- Plan and execute periodic internal audits of financial and operational processes.
- Evaluate internal controls and identify potential weaknesses or risks.
- Recommend improvements and monitor implementation of corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Review documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Prepare audit findings, reports, and presentations for management. Conduct surprise cash counts and inventory spot checks where applicable.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- BSc. Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
