Job Position: Accountant
Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilties
- Handling accounts payable processes, including invoice verification, payment processing, and vendor management.
- Managing cash transactions, including recording daily cash receipts and disbursements.
- Reconciling bank statements and ensuring accuracy in financial records.
- Assisting in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Analyzing accounting choices and making financial action recommendations.
- Gathering and monitoring financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities).
- Researching and examining accounting data, creating reports, and providing management with financial information.
- Assembling and evaluating account data to create asset, liability, and capital account entries.
- Inserting account details to record financial activities.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements).
- Forecasting costs and revenues.
- Managing tax payments.
- Organizing internal audits.
- Preparing budgets (for the entire company and by department).
- Monitoring and reporting on accounting discrepancies.
- Conducting detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments.
Qualifications
- Interested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor's / Master`s Degree with 2 - 5 years of work experience.
